Be a part of REVITALIZATION | Kannapolis , NC
Have you been to Kannapolis lately? Most know Kannapolis, North Carolina as a mill town where Cannon Mills once boasted the largest textile operation in the world. After that era ended when the mills closed down almost 20 years ago, City leaders and citizens faced a crossroads concerning the future of Kannapolis. Led by City Council and staff, a bold vision emerged to re-invent and revitalize the shell of what used to be downtown. Now bustling with new local retailers and restaurants, a walk on Main Street is filled with fun gathering areas as well.
With public support, the City acquired 50-plus acres encompassing the main merchant district during the mill's heyday. Phase one included the revitalization of the West Avenue district and the construction of a Sports and Entertainment Venue, now known as Atrium Health Ballpark--home of the Cannon Ballers minor league baseball team.
The City's vision and its execution transformed a collection of vacant buildings into what today is a bustling community of shops, restaurants, breweries and a ballpark surrounded by multi/single-family developments both completed and under construction. Kannapolis is ripe for development, both commercial and residential.
Along with the new development surrounding the ballpark there is still a lot of opportunity to be a part of the growth of Kannapolis. MAK Real Estate Ventures, Corp is here to help you explore!
